LYON COUNTY, MN Correctional Officer/Dispatch
Lyon County is accepting applications to acquire an eligibility list for the position of a full-time Correctional Officer and a part-time Dispatch. The eligibility list will be maintained for a maximum of one year to fill any future openings. Minimum Qualifications Include: High school diploma required; valid driver’s license, with a minimum of six months experience in security or law enforcement; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. The hourly rate of pay is $14.59 to $20.39. Correctional Officers and Dispatch work a rotating schedule of weekdays, weekends, holidays, as well as day & overnight shifts. Lyon County is accepting applications for Parks Manager The purpose of this position is to supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of the Lyon County Parks as well as the Lyon County Fairground property. Duties include, but are not limited to: supervising staff; delegating work; preparing plans of operation; preparing budgets for the Parks Program; attending meetings; and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Public Works Director. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Park Management, Natural Resources Management, or related field required; with a minimum of two years’ experience in park management, natural resources, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Additional licensure/certification requirements or ability to obtain within one year of hire; Tree Inspection, Pesticide Application, First Responder, and CDL Class B licensure. Position is full-time/exempt with an annual salary between $40,341.39 –$ 56,473.66, offering a full benefit package. The on call general equipment operator position will be required to operate a variety of equipment used in the repair and maintenance of highways and related areas for Lyon County. Duties include, but are not limited to: operating specialized equipment; performing manual labor; performing preventative maintenance; and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Foreman. |
